Greetings from blogland! I have had the absolute most chaotic week in ages and like most mon-fri 9-5ers I am SO glad the weekend has arrived.
Let me tell you a few of the fabulous incidents that incurred this past week.
1 - My 'caseload' at work is a nightmare presently. I have a vampirish crew that are sucking the blood from my body, mind, and soul. Have some mercy on all of us and our families God. Love you!
2 - I accidentally took a 50 mile wrong turn coming home from work the other night, then I got stuck in single-lane traffic, then got caught behind a flatbed hauling an inground pool going 30 in a 45. That night was my sons openhouse at school, to which I had to carry my 9 month old about a half mile to his school in the rain with a diaper bag and umbrella. Nice teacher though - LOL!
3 - My daughter's daycare had a teacher out with swine flu. While my tweety was there, she developed a 101 fever and threw up a bottle. I rushed to pick her up, brought her to the Doc and proceded to wait an 2 hours and 15 mins to be told that despite the fever she looks fine (she did) and I should bring her home to rest (insert deep sigh here). She slept well that night and was fine the next day.
4 - I am desperately trying to finish the depressing book My Sister's Keeper for a bookclub meeting coming up while Barbara Walters is interviewing Patrick Swayze in the background. I then feel aweful about not raising enough money to do the Avon Walk. Damn!
5 - I am piss poor and need to pay my rest desperately, but cant stop perseverating on retail therapy and starting Confessions of a Shopaholic when I've completed my tear-jerker mentioned above.
6 - I have been drinking these GROSS hemp shakes recommended by Kandee Johnson (the makeup artist) at lunch to lose a few pounds. She insisted they taste great (I have the chocolate one open) & I am one disatisfied customer! I mean, I'll eat anything - escargot, liver & onions, jagermeister, but this stuff is like drinking dirty Woodstock mud! I come home starving and ready to stuff my face with the closest carb in sight. I will finish the container though since it cost $18.
Enough griping, I just had to vent... Pray for a relaxing and uplifting weekend for me and my family - we really need it!
